I am PJ Palmer. I'm a wife and mother to three children. Nick and I celebrated our 11 year anniversary in May.  Janice, Charlie, & George Palmer are my kids and they attend cure of ars. As a parent and teacher at the school I have a unique and deep investment in making sure it is a place of spiritual, emotional, and academic growth for all.

I am a huge sports fan. You will find me at the K, Arrowhead, Children's Mercy Park, or watching my beloved Horned Frogs in my spare time. I also enjoy attempting to play golf with my husband and playing all sorts of board games with my kids. My door is always open. I look forward to partnering with you to make this a year filled with growth and positivity.

I graduated from Notre Dame de Sion in 1995. Vive Sion! I went on the earn a BFA at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX in May of 1999. Following my time in Texas I moved back to Leawood and worked as a barrista at Starbucks. This explains my weakness for a good pumpkin spice latte. I then moved to Chicago and worked while I attended graduate school at DePaul University where I got my MEd. I moved back home in 2003 and was blessed to teach 5th grade ELA and Social Studies at Sion lower school from 2003-2008. I also directed the plays at the high school during my 5 years at Sion. It was at that time we decided the best choice for our family was for me to stay home and care for Janice.  I was fortunate to return to the classroom last year in the resource department at Cure. It was during the 2016-2017 school year that I realized my strong desire to teach ELA and young adult literature again.
